George’s Pre School is a 26 place friendly and caring private day nursery, which caters for children aged between 2 and 5 years old, The nursery provides a stimulating, warm, safe and caring environment where children have a variety of experiences in which to learn and play.

Key person: All children are allocated a key person, your key person has a special responsibility for your child, they will be introduced to you and your child on your first phase in and will do the initial induction in to the nursery, they will ensure that the needs of a child and parent are met and develop a good line of communication with you. They are also responsible for liaising with you regarding your child’s progress, setting up and reviewing your child’s individual daily routine, and revising play plans.

Staffing: At George’s preschool our staff team is qualified with NVQ level 3 or equivalent and are undergoing further training. The nursery believes in personal development and training and follows a training programme, which includes training from both internal and external agencies. All staff is required to hold the first aid certificate and food hygiene.

Meet the Manager

Hi, my name is Emma Whitington I am the Manager of George’s Pre School. I graduated with a BA Honours this year in teaching and learning. I have been working at George’s Pre School for ten years and I feel as a nursery we provide the best learning experiences and opportunities for each individual child. It has been rewarding to see these children develop into confident, motivated and conscientious young children.
